On Khdemli you do not have to search for craftsmen one at a time: you can post a job request and let them come to you. You describe the work once — trade, city, description, photos — and the verified craftsmen in your city who practise that trade get a notification. Those who are interested respond, and you choose among them. The request stays open for 30 days. Here is how to get the most out of it.

Search or post: two ways to use Khdemli

The classic route is covered in the guide to how Khdemli works: you browse the profiles, compare them, and unlock the contact of the one you picked. That is the fastest path when you know exactly what you want and you are in a hurry.

A job request works the other way round. It is built for the situations where you are not sure who to call, where the job is hard to sum up in one word, or where you simply want several proposals without spending an hour reading profiles. You post, and the craftsmen come forward.

What a request contains

  • The trade — plumbing, electrical, painting, masonry and so on
  • The city, plus the neighbourhood if you want people genuinely close by
  • A short title summing up the need in one line
  • A description of what actually needs doing
  • A rough budget (optional, free text)
  • Up to 6 photos of the job
  • An "urgent" flag that lifts your request to the top of the craftsmen's list

Photos change everything

A request with photos gets sharper answers and more reliable estimates. A craftsman who can see the leak, the wall or the fuse board knows straight away whether he is the right person — and you avoid a wasted visit.

Who receives your request

The moment you publish, Khdemli notifies the craftsmen who meet three conditions at once: they are verified, they practise the trade you selected, and they work in your city. Your request neither vanishes into nothing nor gets blasted at everyone — it reaches the professionals it concerns. That is also why the trade and city fields deserve two seconds of thought: pick the wrong trade and the wrong craftsmen get alerted.

Only verified craftsmen can reply

This is a hard rule, and it is where the value of the system comes from: a craftsman must have passed the team's manual verification before he can respond to a request at all. An unverified profile may see requests go by, but cannot answer them. So you never receive replies from anonymous accounts created that morning. Each craftsman may also reply only once to the same request — no repeat pitches filling your inbox.

What the replies look like

Every reply arrives as a craftsman card: photo, trades, city, average rating, number of reviews, verified badge, and whatever message he chose to attach. His name appears partly masked and his number is not shown — exactly as in the search results. To get his details you go through the normal unlock, charged to your wallet. Posting a request costs nothing; only the contact of the craftsman you actually pick is paid.

Writing a request that gets answers

Craftsmen read a lot of requests and reply to the clear ones. Three habits make the difference.

  1. Be specific about the task. "Replace an 80L water heater on the 3rd floor, no lift" is worth ten times "plumbing problem".
  2. Give a sense of scale. Surface to paint, number of electrical points, metres of pipe — numbers are what make a quote possible.
  3. State your availability. A craftsman free this week will not answer a job planned for two months out, and the reverse is just as true.

Do not put your phone number in the description

A request is visible to many craftsmen. Let the system handle the introduction — that is exactly what protects you from cold calls and keeps the choice of who can reach you in your hands.

Lifespan, closing and deleting

A request stays open for 30 days, then automatically becomes "expired" and drops out of the craftsmen's lists. You do not have to do anything for that to happen. But as soon as you have found your craftsman, the courteous move is to close the request yourself: it stops other professionals from spending replies on it for nothing. You can also delete it outright if you no longer want to see it. Your requests, and how many replies each received, stay visible in your account area.

Handling genuine emergencies

The "urgent" flag pushes your request to the top of the list craftsmen browse. It exists for what genuinely cannot wait: a leak flooding a room, a power failure, a door that no longer locks. Use it for what it is — if everything is marked urgent, nothing is, and craftsmen stop paying attention to the label. For a real emergency, combine both approaches: post the request and directly call one or two craftsmen who list urgent availability from the search page.

Frequently asked questions

Does posting a request cost anything?expand_more
No, it is completely free, including receiving the replies. You only pay if you unlock the contact of one of the craftsmen who answered.
How long does my request stay online?expand_more
30 days. After that it expires automatically and disappears from the lists craftsmen browse. You can close it earlier once you have found someone.
Can any craftsman reply to me?expand_more
No. Only verified craftsmen who practise the requested trade and work in your city can respond, and each of them only once.
Is my phone number visible?expand_more
No. Craftsmen see your request, not your contact details. You then decide who to contact by unlocking the profile of your choice.
